How to use

Build a short programme in a few minutes

For look ahead plans, package programmes and internal work plans that do not need a full Primavera P6 schedule. You type the activities and dates, and the Gantt chart redraws as you go.

  1. Set up the programmeEnter the project or area title, the data date and who prepared it. The data date shows as an amber line on the chart.
  2. Add activitiesType each activity with its planned start and finish. Duration is worked out in calendar days. A one-day activity is drawn as a milestone.
  3. Update progressSet the status of each activity. Turn on actual dates to draw an actual bar under the planned bar.
  4. DownloadDownload the programme as a PNG image for your report, or export the activity list to Excel.

Short answers for planners, engineers and site teams.

Is my programme uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser. The last programme is kept in this browser's local storage so it is still there when you come back. Clear all removes it.

Does it work out logic or the critical path?

No. It draws the dates you enter. There are no links, calendars or float. For logic and the critical path, use Primavera P6, and the Planix XER tools to review the result.

How is the duration counted?

In calendar days, counting both the start and the finish day. An activity that starts and finishes on the same day is shown as a milestone.

Can I change the timescale?

Yes. Automatic shows weeks for programmes up to about five months and months for longer ones. You can also pick weeks or months yourself. Weeks start on Monday.

What do the exports contain?

The PNG is the full programme with a header, summary figures, the Gantt chart and a legend. The Excel file lists each activity with its planned and actual dates, duration and status.
