P6 Dashboard Generator With Local XER Processing

This Primavera P6 dashboard generator turns baseline and updated XER schedules into a management-ready project control room. It helps teams review planned progress, performance progress, forecast variance, WBS performance, float exposure and schedule risk indicators. Your XER files are processed locally in the browser and are not uploaded to Planix Engineering.

How To Use The P6 Dashboard Generator

  1. Export the approved baseline or reference programme from Primavera P6 as an XER file.
  2. Export the current update programme as a second XER file.
  3. Upload both files into the browser-based dashboard generator.
  4. Review progress, variance, SPI, forecast finish and WBS performance signals.
  5. Download the Excel or PDF output for management reporting and project controls meetings.

What The Dashboard Helps Review

The control room is designed for programme update reviews where teams need a fast summary of schedule performance, risk and management actions.

  • P6 schedule percent complete and performance complete
  • Planned value, earned value and variance signals
  • SPI and forecast finish variance
  • Float exposure and incomplete critical activities
  • WBS performance and management narrative blocks

P6 Dashboard Generator FAQ

Are my XER files uploaded?

No. The baseline and update XER files are processed locally in your browser. Planix Engineering does not receive or store your project schedule files.

Do I need both baseline and update XER files?

For the best dashboard output, use both an approved baseline or reference programme and the current update programme. This allows planned versus current performance comparison.

Can this replace project controls reporting?

No. It supports project controls reporting by turning P6 schedule data into a faster dashboard view. Teams should still review the underlying programme, logic, assumptions and contract requirements.

Who is this dashboard for?

It is useful for planners, project controls managers, project managers, directors and client teams who need a clear view of programme performance.
