How to play

One contract, five steps

Each contract follows the same route. Your score, combo and flags carry through the run until the helicopter goes down.

  1. Take offPick a helicopter, then hold Space or the Up button to lift off the H pad.
  2. Fly the gold ringsThe arrow at the top of the screen points to the next ring and shows the distance.
  3. Strike the targetLine up the marked target until it locks, then fire with F, a click or the Fire button.
  4. Return and landFollow the green rings home and descend slowly onto the H pad to plant your flag.
  5. Manage fuel and hullService pads refuel and repair for free. Field repairs and emergency fuel cost points.

Can I play Heli Strike on a phone?

Yes. On a touch screen the game shows a stick for flying and buttons to fire, climb, descend and toggle hover assist. On Android you can also switch to full screen. A desktop keyboard gives the finest control.

What are the keyboard controls?

W and S change speed, A and D turn, Q and E strafe, Space climbs and Shift descends. F or a left click fires. H toggles hover assist, C switches to cockpit view, T buys a field repair and R buys emergency fuel when the tank is empty.

How do I finish a contract?

Take off, fly through the gold rings, destroy the marked target, then follow the green rings home and land slowly on the H pad. Landing plants a victory flag and starts the next contract.

Where are my best score and career level saved?

In your browser's local storage on this device. Nothing is sent to a server, and clearing site data resets them.

Why does the game run slowly on my device?

Heli Strike draws a 3D city with WebGL. On older phones or laptops close other tabs, and try a smaller browser window if the frame rate drops.
